Summer Time & Return of Robin
The days are winding down ever so quickly and you can’t help but think “I don’t have enough”, I need more books in my head, and I need more words. I guess it’s too late to ponder, just make bold moves in the coming months and most importantly consolidate what you have.
Studying at this time of the year is never easy especially if you’re experiencing weather as we have in Cairo, consistently in the 40c, but I would rather settle for the Sun than be drenched in the UK. No hard feelings for all those stuck indoors.
You know its summer time in Cairo as the number of students coming here from the west just multiplies every time we step foot outside the house. Alhamdulillaah it’s good to see so many brothers and sisters having the zeal to learn the language of the Quran and making the sacrifice to come out fee sabillillaah.
So what else?
Robin has finally made it back after attending to his ill mother. May Allaah Grant Her Shiffah and Reward Him for Fulfilling His Duty. Aameen Duas are requested from all our readers, as we head towards the home straight, it seems Yusuf will be winning this race!
Fee Ammaanillahi
Isnt it bizzare how soon we forget? Many of us keep a genuine concern for the Muslims as remember the hadith; Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet – peace be upon him – said, “Allah will cover seven people with His shade, on the Day when there will be no shade but His: a just ruler, a youth who has been brought up in the worship of Allah, a man whose heart is attached to the mosques, two persons who love each other only for Allah’s sake and they meet and part in Allah’s cause only, a man who refuses the call of a beautiful and rich woman for illicit relation with her and says: I am afraid of Allah, a man who gives charitable gifts so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has given, and a person who remembers Allah while he is alone and his eyes are flooded with tears.” (Al-Bukhari, Hadith 620) And therefore seek to love for the sake of Allah. However how soon is it that we fortget the plight of those less fortunate. Those who as we may be sat in our comfy chairs, with a tea in one hand and the mouse in the other, that right this very minute there are Muslims being tortured, raped, starved and humiliated across the world. Ergo right this minute one of our people is screaming out to Ar Rahman, where are the Muslims.
Now, my purpose of writing today, at 02.06 am is to just bring your attention to a people many of us have now forgotton since they and their orange jumpsuits stopped appearing on our 43″ LCD Plasma, yes, I am talking about the brothers of Guantanamo.
I would just like to remind you of two things you and only you can do.
1. Make dua for those who have returned to Al Ghafour, that he accept their ultimate sacrafice;

2. Make dua for those who are still enduring torture and suffering for their affirmation of la ila ilal Allah, and make an effort to support their fight for freedom.

We Praise Allah for giving us our freedom and not testing us in a way like the aforementioned.
